Traveling in packs

As GP gets older and more into his teen years I have noticed he searches for constant companionship. Momma, I wanna go to the Gym!! You gotta go with me!! Momma Find someone to go with me!! if its not me it is a friend, for him to even go on a simple bike ride he has to take someone with him be it Mr. man and baby girl or my best friends children C C and C... sometimes there are 6 kids in a pack riding their bikes here on post! There is even the ocassional day he takes Bubbies with him too!!

But what all of this traveling in packs and searching for constant company made me realize is that we are created under the beating heart of another person, if we were truly meant to be alone and not have human bonds wouldnt we be hatched out of eggs??

I have always been a supporter of the family bed, but I also think children eventually need to fall asleep in their own bed at some point. GP will take bubbies to bed with him some nights of course thats when I go in there and steal my nosobabytoddler away again!

I now believe humans are meant to be supportive and caring and never alone in the sense of a life alone.

I enjoy watching the pack of children ride off in the day to ride their bikes to see and explore, to walk together to eat ice cream together to just BE together..

I honestly do not know where I am going with this was just a thought this morning as I sit and drink my coffee and wind down from my morning workout!

There is evidence that guys tend to be more "pack" oriented. Women can be more of a one person friend... etc.

I so think that it is so cool that there is such an awesome upside to his wanting companionship - he is taking his brothers and sister along for the ride. I am sure they don't care about the why - it just is cool to be with their big brother.

I love my family bed, too. I'm amazed at how alone I feel now when it's just me in the house.

Oh that is awesome. I am sure you are loving him being HOME and this is just a big fat bonus. From your post he seems like he has grown so much. I know letting him stay with his Dad was tough, but it seems that it has given back some too. ((HUGS))

Ramblings are good, particularly when I "get them." LOL

I remember still how surprised I was at just how sweet your GP is. You've always described the B O Y stuff, and I really enjoyed getting a glimpse of that deeper, other side to him. He's a good egg, Cam.
