Out of the mouths of Babes.. For a Moment I seriously considered naming this Post theres FIRE in them thar hills!
Tonight the DAY BEFORE the movers show up...It has been rather eventful!
I run to the grocery store (I know boring domestic Bitch Chores) pick up what I need to finsih my gourmet dinner I am planning *TACOS!* Baby Girl and I come home and Mr. Man and neighborgirlfriend come RUNNING up to the truck. Mom Mom Mom theres a FIRE AT THE BASKETBALL COURT!
Insert gut feeling sinking heart and urge to vomit here.. So I ask.. Did you two have anything to do with this?? No Mom No not at all! Ok I am going to take Mr mans word at face value.. well stupid me!
Baby girl and hubby decide they want to go check out the fire as does EVERYONE else in the apt complex EXCEPT Mr Man. Hrmm thats odd.. Ok whatever Mr Man has some oddities and whatever.
I am in the stairwell visiting with the neighbors *Let me make it clear the dogs were visiting I was making sure they didn't run away* When I hear a loud Knock at my back door.. Ok well Mr Man is standing there.. And a man I have Never EVER seen before along with some of the complex kids I see daily
One of the girls starts to tell me a story when strange man I have never seen before says Stop you need to let HIM tell his mom.. Oh SHIT! what did he do???
OK So I ask Mr. Man .. whats going on?? And Mr. Man tells me Ok well mom see *visibley upset and shaking* my friends they wanted to hear a loud boom. And so .. insert stuttering and refusing to go any further in answering questions. Well Now complex girl starts to try to say something else and the man tells her again let him tell his mom. I am now realizing this is NOT good!
Ok Mr. man still wont spill it so I ask stranger man.. exactly WHAT did my son do? Mind you all now Mr. Man is almost 9 years old so you would ASSUME he could play and come check in correct? Ok Well we were both wrong in that assumption.
Man I have never EVER seen or met before tells me.. They were trying to make an explosion.. and there was a paper cup involved and while it was still on fire the kids threw it OVER the fence into the blackberry bushes and very VERY dry feild.. Insert cmplex MANAGER comign to my back door..
Mr. Man was the one with the lighter he started the fire.. WHAT come on seriously right now?? Imagine my disappointment! Ok She proceeds to tell me the fire mashall wants to talk to me now... Ok well Now Hubby and Baby girl are coming back from scoping out the fire and I say Hey guess who really started the fire. Hubby looks dumbfounded and says I dunno.... And I look back and point to Mr. Man. *sigh* not like there is nothing else I am supposed to be doing!
Ok get to the firemen and their truck and insert tons of people from the complex looking talking and whispering about the KID who actually started this fire!
Mr. Man has to talk to the Fire Marshall and has a hard time maintaining eye contact.. and is VISIBLEY upset.. I mean crying and shaking etc etc having a hard time maintaining eye contact with the man. I help him and show him where the Gentlemans face is and let him know it is yes Sir No sir etc etc..
Fire Marshall tells me he wants Mr Man to go to Juvinelle firestarters class *we leave in 8 days HELLO* I explain said situation to the gentleman and he gives me a ohh you poor poor pathetic woman look.
Hubby is now there with baby girl and Little man.. I explain what is going on.. walk Mr man over to the damage his fire has caused. he sees it and is not grasping why this is so serious. Fireman tells Mr. Man that he could have hurt someone else burned the complex down and also could have hurt himself!
Fireman pulls Hubby and I aside and lets us know the lowdown on everything. Management here in complex is turning the fire into the insurance.
During this time one of the other kids involveds Mom was talking to her and how serious it was to even watch another child play with a lighter and why didnt she come tell an adult? her reply was... Momma I thought he had permission to have it. I started to laugh right then and there.
After all is said and done.. I am hoping Mr Man is aware of how serious this was..
I am so far behind what I should be doing and Now this has not helped my mood my motivation or anything
However How excited am I that I am going to get to experience a whole new country? A whole new culture a whole new world. The history the beauty! Ohhh Can you see how excited I am???
I am hoping the bill for Mr. Mans fire is not too crazy.. I figure there goes my deposit HAHAHAHAH
Too bad Noone had their marshmellows for Smores!

Well Cam, That's one way to go out with a bang.
I am glad they let him off as light as they did, given the fires all over the country. I hope it scared him straight!
Lik ~L~ said hopefully he learned his lesson and it scared him enough to not ever do it again. I am sorry you had to deal w/ this on the way out, but on a high note at least your not staying there and having to deal w/ it.
